Children's Care Learning and Development
This NVQ is appropriate for those who work directly with children and familiesand who may have a supervisory responsibilities, specialist role or work unsupervised.
The level 3 award contains five mandatory units and four optional units. In order to achieve the full NVQ award candidates must undertake to complete all five mandatory units plus four optional units - at least TWO of which must come from option group A, plus a further TWO from either group A or B.
Mandatory Units:
Candidates are required to complete all five mandatory units.
Unit 301: Develop and promote positive relationships
Unit 302: Develop and maintain a healthy, safe and secure environment for children
Unit 303: Promote children's development
Unit 304: Reflect on and develop practice
Unit 305: Protect and promote children's rights
Optional Units:
Option Group B
